Very easy to drink. Smooth. Good on the nose. Fruity. Hints of cherry raspberry oak tobacco earthy. Will definitely have it again!

Nose of fresh herbs like rosemary, slight sparkling peak on the front with bright berry notes and a hint of tobacco. Bright and clean finish

(2020 vintage) Light red color. Nose of raspberry strawberry vanilla and smoked ash nose. Smooth gentle palate with a light texture but good grip, red fruit roasted pepper with balsamic and red pepper. Got this at a steal. Amazing wine for money.

Vacation in Thailand 🇹🇭 February 2026. BKK. I bought this one from Helsinki Airport with me and opened it today to enjoy with spinach pizza. I find it pretty attractive with its bright ruby red colour, aromas of some spiciness and smokey red fruit, black currant puff. On the palate there are wild berries such as cranberry and cowberry, sour cherry. Worth every penny I spent. At least here and now it feels like this.

赤紫色がかった色味。酸味やや強い、タンニン中程度。果実味は中程度で、ラズベリーやストロベリー、バニラと、くすんだ灰のような香り。

Light bodied wine, hints of dark chocolate and sweet blackberries. Leaves a pleasant aftertaste and pairs well with a red meat sauce.

So light in colour, first drop almost looks like rose. Fruity, sparkling taste at first. Ends with deep dark fruit. Would be lovely if you wanted a red with white meat or fish.

Very like the 2014 vintage. Black fruits, humus and a little spicy. With the tipical PN impression that makes you recognise it immediately.

This one’s really nice, and great for price. Beautiful clear light garnet, with early-harvest red cherry on the palate. L+/M- tannins, and soft.

Impressive entry level Pinot noir. Decent extraction with solid color notes. Plenty of cherry and hint of pepper and a nice vein of minerality.

Wow! Really surprised by this wine. Easy drinkable with a fantastic nose. Soft tannins and acidity. Not as subtle as Bourgogne but for the price well worth. Nice...

Pale light red in color. Red fruit on the nose and palate. Earth , smoke and tobacco on the finish. Light and smooth, acidic and dry. Delightful wine. Taste even better with meat.

I really like the nose on this wine. Lavender, almost. It drinks slightly heavier than other Otago pinots I’ve had on this trip. Lovely cherry, some pepper on the back of the palate.

This winery is becoming a favorite of mine. This wine has very young red fruit notes on the nose. Very smooth on the palate, young cherry notes and strawberry as well and low tannins. Light and refreshing wine. Cheers!!

Ruby with slight mauve. The nose is of dark cherry, dark chocolate, vanilla & raspberry jelly. The palate is light textured & full flavoured with firm tannins, fruit sweetness & acidity with a dru length.

Here's a little underrated NZ PN. Anise, clove, mushrooms, cherry, some baked plum. Crushed wild strawberry (!) and herbal bitters on the palate, medium body, medium finish, very food friendly, good qpr. 3.8

Clear medium intense ruby with tears. clean medium +intense youthfull nose of strawberry-and cherryjam, toast, leather. Dry medium acidity, low tannins. 13%alcohol, medium body, high flavour intensity. Ripe cherry flavours. Medium + finish. Very good. Can be drank now but has ageing potential. Would match perfectly with some small game with fruity sauce. Faisant with cherries?

Cherry, plum, licorice, blackberry. Light medium body with good fruit, balanced acidity, light tannins on a medium finish.

Great little wine. Surprising complexity. Excellent value for money, will be returning to the black cottage most definitely.

One of the better PN I’ve had from NZ! Smoky, cherry, tobacco and raspberry all around. Medium+ finish. Very good.

Medium garnet red colour with strong floral mushroom minerality tobacco nose. Full strength fruit grip of mushroom cherry earthy tobacco plum oyster smoke with a medium oak tannin finish.

Kinda weird. NZ super famous for PN. But in my LCBO had to find. Mostly SB. Grabbed this puppy. Super happy. Paired with Veal Goulash German Style with Home Made Sour Dough Bread. Went well. Big nose of ripe red cherries, plum and chocolate. Robust and focused palate. Significant fruit notes underscored with robust acidity. Super good.

3.7 Merlot🇳🇿 S→tabacco, cassis, plum, dark cherry. T→tabacco, cassis, yogurt, strawberry. タバコ、カシス、プラム、ダークチェリー。 口に含むとタバコやカシスがつよく、ややヨーグルトやストロベリーの甘酸っぱさもある。 甘さが程よいが、余韻の広がりには欠ける。

This Nelson PN was a bit thin. Red fruit mostly and black pepper. Cherry, blackberry, mushroom. Drinkable bur definitely inferior to Central Otago PN 😂 it's not its fault...

A nice Pinot Noir from Marlborough in New Zealand. Light bodied, light garnet color. Nose of wet asphalt, cherry and oak. Tastes of cranberry, a little dark fruit, and cola. Good balance and medium length finish. Good value for $22. I would buy it again

Moving on to the cheese we went almost down under. A classic Marlborough Pinot floral and spicy with pleasant cherry notes.

Soaked black fruits. Young and vibrating.

Unusually smoky Pinot Noir. Tobacco, blackberry, and tar. A little hot for my taste. Lacks something in finesse, but very drinkable.

Nose of cigar box (tobacco?), Forest floor, cherry. Attack starts with cherry and backed by a little spice. Sift tannins and acidity. Finish is smooth with cherry flavor lasting for a while. Pleasant, drinkable wine.

3.7. Really deep, dark soft PN. Next to no tannins or acidity.

Quite full body for a Pinot Noir. Serious acidity and spicy notes, red fruit.

For a S Blanc it lacks the nice aroma and is too sharp / acidic to drink without an oily fish meal. Probably refreshing with fish though.

A light-bodied, dry Pinot Noir from Marlborough by Sanna Stander. "Fermentation in open top fermenters, with 20% whole bunch. Aged 11 months in French oak barriques." With hibiscus and cherry aroma. Intense clove and cherry taste with a cola aftertaste. Three years ago I had vintage 2015 and gave 3 stars. This vintage is better! A quite nice and fresh, yet classic NZ PN! pH: 3.74, TA: 5.0 g/L, RS: <2.0 g/L, Alc.: 12.0%

Quite nice NZ Pinot Noir, somewhat in a German style. Aromas of ripe strawberry, earthy notes, a whiff of white pepper and well balanced oak. Soft tannins, medium(+) acidity and a medium length finish.

Good fruit, good minerality, almost salty, savoury good length, fresh fruit on the nose not enough though on mid palate

Raspberry nose and opaque ruby red. Glacé cherry, tomato leaf, smoke and cedar. Flavours are there but the Slight sharpness on the finish belies the score.

Delightful fruity Pinot Noir. Strong notes of cherry, silky short finish. Some earthy notes on the finish. Went very paired with my lamb dish!

Funky. Very divisive. You’ll either LIKE it or you’ll hate it.

A lot of sulphur in first five minutes but after that you get a nice fruity new world pinot. Good price quality

Soft cherries with a bit of tobacco on the pallet. A light wine with a nose that is very average. I had this wine to start the wine.

So good aroma, but so poor taste.

Too bad but a strong onion smell. I'll have to buy another bottle.
