Charity poker game last night (the trophy returns home after a brief absence 😁). Started off with a couple of bottles of one of my favourite Satèn Franciacortas, from producer Ronco Calino. This is a boutique winery located in the commune of Adro in the Franciacorta region of Lombardy. Founded in 1996 by Paolo Radici. Crisp and dry, with fine bubbles and good freshness. Citrus and mineral notes dominate, giving a clean and refreshing profile.

Fine, persistent perlage, pale straw colour. On the nose hints of citrus and floral aromas, accompanied by tropical notes. On the palate the wine is clean, rich and persistent.

On the nose it is almost like a late harvest dessert wine, but is actually completely dry. A very nice sparkling wine.

Ripened and richer in density. Brioche, apricots, strawberries bound into a fresh acidity. Suitable to many occasions, perfect to start.

Nice dry prosecco with notes of pear, glacier, white peach, a bit of flowers. Good with prosciutto, mortadella, maybe pasta alla carbonara.

March, 2025. Another day, another industry tasting... This is all Italian. 2 grams dosage. Methode traditionnelle, so some nice bubbles. OK this is tasty. Lots of chalk. Thus is perhaps one of the best Franciacorta I've had. Delish.

Encontro Confra-Rio Zona Sul. Tema: DOCs Valpolicella. Curadoria: Jorge Silva Jr. Vinho #1. Cor amarelo-ouro leve. Perlage discreta e de média duração. No nariz bem frutado com destaque para maçã-verde, notas florais e um toque de fermento e panificação. Na boca uma boa cremosidade, com um leve efeito agulha e agradável efervescência. Ótimo custo-benefício. 90 pontos JJ. Recomendo.

Confra-rio ZS, 26/11. Abertura dos trabalhos. Aromas de amêndoas e nozes. Em boca macio, acidez excelente. Final com boa persistência.

Excelente brut, seco na medida certa, cor amarelada e perlage consistente, Nitidamente superior ao padrão de mercado nessa faixa de preço.

Produzida pelo método champenoise, apresenta cor amarelo palha, frutada. Em boca é cítrica e mineral, equilibrada e de final persistente.

Belo vinho com aroma bem delicado puxado para mineral e trigo. Refrescante e delicado. Degustado no encontro de vinhos em Curitiba.

Outra Franciacorta que justifica a fama. Belo espumante de cor amarelo dourado, nariz com tostado e fermento e boca cremosa, fresca e otima acidez.

Da última vez que degustei este vinho, a garrafa devia estar com problemas. Desta vez, estava ótimo, com boa acidez, CO2, maciez, equilibrado.

Método tradicional. Aromas de fruta branca, pêssego, maça, pera e aromas de pão, torrada, brioche. Seco, refrescante e com boa acidez. Final médio. Belo exemplar de Franciacorta.

Pale yellow with light greenish aspect. Nice strong bubbles that lead in the ripe white fruit aromas and a pleasant nasal sense od breadcrumb. Great bubbly!

Dosaggio zero millesimato, gradevolmente secco e leggero, ma poco interessante ed incisivo. Si colgono note agrumate e di fiori e frutta bianca. Complessivamente però non resta nulla di indimenticabile. Acidità piuttosto spinta. Ok per pasteggiare.
