Is this region producing the most consistently excellent red wines in the world right now? I think so. The balance is supreme, jammy blackcurrant mingles beautifully with black cherry, vanilla and the butter like smoothness as the wine goes through the palate. Acidity is fresh. Another exceptional example of a wine from the south east of Italy.

A tremendous wine enjoyed at Bono’s Italian restaurant in Golden CO Silky and smooth with plenty of cherry that extends to a nice finish.

Nicest of several wines I drank tonight! Strong mix of berry flavours, both red fruit and dark fruit. Very bold with plenty of legs. Was lovely with a mixed meats and cheese board.

At $13 regular price this is superb value. Dark and juicy with good body and a bit of sweetness and tanginess that makes it crowd pleasing and food friendly. Grab a few if on sale.

One of the nicer Italians I’ve had. Very nice medium bodied wine with an incredibly long finish. On the nose, ripe cherries and herbs. Complex fresh strawberry notes, raisins, dark cherry, dark chocolate, with a nice subtle ending note of salinity

Nose of a light oak and hints of cherry and plum. Notes of plum, blackberry and forest fruits. Really simple and really easy to drink. Soft, medium dry, light, smooth with a light tannin, smooth aftertaste

Pleasant positive surprise on this i think bought at Edeka for less than 10e a bottle. Deep red, good bouquet, great balance, bit short on aftertaste. I wonder how it would keep. Very good value

Smooth tannin. A bit sweet taste at beginning, but good dryness after that. 7.5€ in Rewe is quite ok.初めは甘いテイストを感じる。柔らかなタンニン。7.5ユーロ程度でこの味なら4つ星か。

上海のイタリアンにて。 予想以上にワインが進んだので5本目。 最後はデザート🍰っぽくフルーティーなプリミティーボを選択。 期待通りの果実味。粘度も高めでトロトロ。 美味しい😋👍

Really delicious and a bargain for the cost. Lots of jam flavours with tonnes of black fruits and flavour. Fairly full bodied. Went down a treat with a pub lunch.

One of the best burgain in Primitivo/Zin world. Well rounded wine, mighty after taste, full body and jammy. Oak and red fruit's dominate in this wine. Excellent Primitivo!

Fruity fruity full of fruit basket. May be great for wedding wine! Fresh grapes, a little bit sweetness. Beutiful balance. A Great and laud outdoor wedding party with a sunset in early summer.

I was very excited to find this Primitivo in a 0,25l bottle— the perfect format for a single glass. Like other reviewers, I was impressed with this wine. Notes of cherry, blackberry, vanilla, oak and plum. Full body, high acidity, medium tannins. Even with COVID I enjoyed every sip of this wine. It’s an excellent Primitivo for the price and also easy to find!

4.0 ..Buy again... cracking value a lovely smooth and fruity number: Nose: blackberry and savoury notes. Taste: A good flavoursome blackberry, savory red notes and overall a lovely sipper. Taninns low with a medoum finish and worth adding not mucb residual sugar for this type of grape. Well made and delivers for the price.

While in Lithuania I’ve noticed that Italian Primitivo appears to be a widely available and popular (I therefore assume) red wine. And that’s a good thing by me. On the deeper side of medium ruby, the nose has red and dark berry fruits and little smoke. The fruit driven palate is smooth, plush and semi dry, with plum, cherry, black currant, ripe strawberry and vanilla. Low acidity with smooth, plush tannins. An utterly quaffable crowd pleasing red.

One of the best selling wines in Europe, a great entry level bargain (🇨🇦$10) offering for new wine drinkers. Deep ruby colour with mixed fruit aromas. Typical Zin/Prim full of red and dark fruit tastes - blackberry, plum, cherry, raspberry, strawberry - with oak and vanilla. Muted tannins and subdued acidity have kept this off dry (16 g/L residual sugar) from being overly jammy. Smooth and soft, best drunk now as aging is unlikely to enhance it. Full round nose of oak and red fruit. Almost creamy, round warm taste of (what a surprise 😅) oak and red ripe fruits. The round and full aftertaste makes it difficult to believe this is another bottle which can be purchased under €10... 👍🏼🍷

Primitivo is a favourite grape of mine related to Zinfandel from California. This one is very good both in taste and value. It is a medium bodied red wine with jammy flavours and a slightly peppery after taste. Will definitely buy again.

Very impressed with this $10 bottle. Very fruity. Ripe raspberry and dark cherry on the nose and palate. Farley bold initially on the palate. Medium tannins that offer some complexity. Soft, smooth finish.

Schöner Wein, eher leicht, fruchtig und hintenraus angenehme Säure und Taninne. Passt denke ich gut als Essensbegleitung zu zahlreichen Gerichten.

Again pretty decent red for an exceptional good price. In comparison to the 2018 and 2019 vintage, this on is a bit more fruity (especially stronger red Cherry notes) and not as complex. All in all: if you want to buy a good red, by one bottle. If it's an offer... Buy two!
