Excellent medium sherry from PX in Solera system (1964). Dried fruit, caramel, crème brulée, orange zest in nose, rich on palate, full of raisins, almonds, honey, toffee, touch of walnut, creamy… all supported by good delicate acidity. Wine in great balance, still a few years ahead. 95/100

Plum, toffee nutty so many complex oak aroma. Sweet,but smooth because it is sour enough to balance the sweet. And a long,comfort finish.

A mix of oxidatively aged dry wine with their classic sweet PX Muy Viejo, resulting in 45 grams of sugar. Jammy fruits on the nose, cinnamon pastry, cocoa, figs and light eucalyptus. Chocolate sweetness on the palate, with a nice tangy acidity, nuts, quinces and toasted oak. Sweet blended sherry doesn't get much better than this.
Semi sweet blend of wines. Based on Oloroso and sweet PX. Cask aging for one year. 45mg of sugar. Jammy, dried fruits, figs, nuts, herbs, butter, toasted notes. Good balance thanks to good acidity. Long.
Bright copper, clean, clear, nice tears. Light sweet nose, almonds, dry nuts, fig, marmalade, smoke, charcoal, complex, epic. Fantastic entrance, salty, light bitterness, bread, yeast, nice acidity, full bodied, well rounded, long suite. I don’t like sherry, but it is epic!!
Quite special. Small family vintage style DRY Pedro Ximenez. Fascinating wine. Like a blend of an oloroso with a gentle brandy, so warmed nuts and toasty savoury kernel flavours with a hint of the classic style of sweetened wine the grape is known for.
Raisins, almonds, zest of grapefruit and citrus. Great complexity, some bitterness in the end. Bottle number 5402 of 9544 bottles. Great as a digestif and cheese foodpairings. Salty hints, seaweed, very long finish. To me still the best sherry producer around.

Kanskje beste sherry jeg noensinne har hatt. Flott naturlig sødme som passer meget godt til tapas, speket kjøtt eller harde oster.

...primera experiencia en un vino así "medium dry". Me ha encantado. mezcla de una solera de px de 1918 y una de crianza oxidativa de "mosto" de pedro ximenez de 1964. aromas de frutos secos y ebanistería. En la boca ataque dulce (nunca empalagoso) con miel, higos, recuerdos de regaliz y al post gusto final "seco" con notas de frutos secos. muyyyyyyyy interesante!!!

Nose: lots of lemon, prune, and slight rubber. Taste: Buttery honey followed by lots of floral perfume notes, and slightly acidic grapefruit finish.
Fresh and clean on the nose with floral and citrus tones. There is a spectacular balance for a wine at this price point with a silky texture.
Totally blew me away. Straw color. Very aromatic with citrus (grapefruit?) and floral notes. Not too sweet. The best finish to a meal I’ve had so far. Had it at Birch restaurant in Saint-Petersburg. What a place too!

This wine resembles a light sherry. Although I am not a sherry fan, this one blew me away. It is an incredible wine to drink with for example foie gras. Taste tones are cocoa, caramel and dried fig, all combined with a certain sweetness which made it a great match for the foie gras. Cheers!
Very good Sherry with a cognac color, aroma and taste of caramel, chocolate, dried fruit, in the background red fruits and citrus fruits , notes of earthy oak , ageing, yeasty, spice . Crystal clear and bright amber with light brown reflections. Intense on the nose with dried fruit, caramel, toffee, honey, leather and vanilla. Very fine and complex. Like a salted caramel on the palate as it’s sweet, salty and acidic. Off dry, warm and scarcely sweet/fresh. Perfect combination of softness, alcohol and sweetness
Countdown to #4000 TN 3994 - late harvest! This one is quite special! A old harvest solera starting from 1964 already. And for a small bottle of 50cl you only pay around 27€ a bottle this is value for money! The grapes are 100% pedro ximenez! The colour is oxidised indeed with a nose and palate of yellow apple, with caramel too, also nutty, very different nuts can be found like almond, walnuts, beech nuts. For me this one is great in its style and fits perfectly in this countdown for its valu

Quick notes from a wine fair. Went through an interesting flight of different expressions of Pedro Ximenez from this bodega. This was my favourite. Solera method sherry and tastes like a proper sherry and not that over sticky sweet PX I know. This has lots of nutty and salty notes woth the sweet dried fruit and nut cake. Very nice stuff!

**Sweet Sunday** (17-/20) Strange sherry, bit schizophrenic, with ripe and lush PX flavours, but not overly sweet at all. I like it! From two solera systems, from 1918 and 1964. Medium+ intense aromas of honeysuckle, peach, apricot, cinnamon, wet stone, vanilla, white raisin, fig, caramel, dried apricot, hazelnut. Wat geproefd bij @Christian Jansen. Sherry en PX liefdeskind met genoeg zoet, maar ook nog wat fruitige frisheid (blauwe bessen) naast de vijgen, noten en caramel.
Det var en fejl, at jeg fik den i glasset, så jeg drak den bare til forskellig dessert på Arco. Dejlig dessert-sherry med noget til næsen og masser af aroma.
Pedro Ximénez recolectada a mano y expuesta al sol durante 3 días adicionales a la vendimia habitual, se lleva al lagar en cajas pequeñas de no más de 15 kilos y fermenta en barrica hasta alcanzar 17º naturales de alcohol y 45 gramos de azúcar residual. Se incorpora a una Solera de 1964. Las barricas seleccionadas se ensamblan un año antes de ser embotelladas. Tostados, caramelo, frutos secos, uvas pasas, intenso, untuoso, equilibrado, seco, agradable y con un postgusto largo.

Appearance: Medium yellow honey, black tea, apricot, honeysuckle Not too sweet. The floral notes give way to a nice scent of black tea with a just ever slight bitter after note. Nice.
Gorgeous apricot jam, honeysuckle and lemon zest aromas. Sweet and refreshing taste without being cloying, infact it was positively gluggable. One of my favourite type of dessert wines!
Toffee, chocolate and caramel on the nose. Raisin and ripe cherry on the palate. Great wine. Balanced acidity. Drank to Stilton on gingerbread.
Recommended. caramel toffee orange peel raisin walnut. Full sweet bodied with medium acidity and a long lasting finish. Lovely ☺️

This has good cut driving the caramel, butterscotch, raisin and orange peel flavors. There's a slight burnt edge, but overall this is beautifully balanced and melts in the mouth.
A beautifully balanced sherry! We usually don't really like this wine style, but surprisingly, this one has captured us into its pleasure nets! This is a second sherry in a row that we rather like... Coming after a few disasters... Could we be making out peace with sherries? Somehow similar to port on certain aspects, this desert wine is elegant and refined. Caramel and toffee notes pour on the palate, dried apricots and cocoa hints make their entrance a few seconds afterwards. Simply divine!
This is a medium or cream sherry of sorts. Uniquely to Ximénez-Spínola the dry base wine is made from Pedro Ximénez grapes. These are exposed to the sun for 3 days after harvest, then pressed, barrel fermented and aged oxidatively in solera, a bit like making an oloroso. A year before bottling it is sweetened by blending in around 10% of their PX Muy Viejo. The resulting wine is pale amber, very complex, medium-dry with 45g/l residual sugar.
